Salam,
My client this time is another graduate from my university, UIAM/IIUM. Coincidentally when I entered her room I found that my classmate from law school was there since she's one of the besties of the bride. I was astonished and felt it was very heartwarming to know that all her bestfriends came all ready and beautiful as early as 7 am just to assist the bride's family with the last minute preparations. Indeed my client was a very much beloved friend. =)
It was a very nice experience doing my client's make-up as well as having chit-chat about life and very girlish talk with her and her friends (in the room and online via Skype). As for her clothes, she adorned a greyish silver Jalabiya with a very simple yet so adorable veil embellished with huge matching coloured diamantes.
The mother of the bride, a very loving and soft-spoken woman really surprised me (and touched me inside deeply) when my client was ready to become a wife in a few minutes, and we were left alone in the room, she actually clasped her hands together and burst into happy tears saying 'Suraya thank you so much, you really made my daughter look so so beautiful. I have never seen her as beautiful as this.' Seriously even recalling this sweet moment can bring tears into my eyes, the bittersweet joy of letting her baby daughter go which only another mother could really comprehend. =') When we hugged and I told her that her daughter is naturally sweet, she apologised (you didnt have to aunty!) and said only when I become a mother I would understand how she felt. Indeed I trust your every word aunty. =)
