Day 3 - Jom Makan! Nyonya Desserts @ The Nyonya Kitchen, Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Pulau Pinang.

Assalamualaikum,

What would be the best way to wrap up our visit to the Pinang Peranakan Mansion? By enjoying Peranakan Desserts of course! =) Before that let's check out some interesting stuff before we cool off ourselves.

A bamboo tree where visitors stick their visitors' stickers at the end of their visit. Pretty creative huh? :)

Love this classic entrance here.

The entrance to the Banquet Hall. This is where Wedding Ceremonies & Formal Dinners take place for those interested to celebrate here.

They even have a piano here for some live music.

An antique dressing table at the entrance of the restrooms. I like. :)

Now we are about to make way to The Nyonya Kitchen.

Stacks of porcelain dining ware in a cupboard. Sorry for the poor quality image.

Hot flasks & thermos in floral designs. Love them.

I loooooveeeee English style Baby Prams like this one here! Although this one here has a little spooky feeling to it because it's so old.

Kukur Kelapa. =) Way before the machine was invented I guess.

Ahah Deena dah mula dah.

Tu diaaa! Deena Stewart!

Ooohh such a lovely sight here. The staff at the Nyonya Kitchen are the waitresses cum the staff who prepare the food for us too, just like at typical Malaysian stalls.  I just love to admire women clad in Kebaya. Demure yet so sexy without trying too hard.

She's so adorable! And friendly too. Too bad I can't remember her name.  Here we could see that she was preparing the dough for the Nyonya Kuih.

The humble & cosy ambience of the Nyonya Kitchen. You truly feel like eating from the typical home kitchen.

They serve
desserts like Nyonya Kuih, Cendol & Ais Kacang from RM 4-8. Besides that they have sandwiches, coffee, tea, fruit juice and their specialty Bird's Nest Soup - Red Dates Special & Ginseng Special for the health benefits from RM 38 onwards.

Some colourful and super yummy Nyonya Kuih already in packets. Bingka Ubi,  Apam & Kuih Ketayap to name a few.

Chinese Tea.

Check these out! They're glutinous, yummy and so filling.
Nyonya Kuih (Cake)
RM 4 per piece, RM 10 for 3 pieces.

Cendol Kacang Merah (Cendol with Red Beans)
RM 6

I love the texture of the Cendol here it looks so pretty! However I always prefer Indian-made Cendol compared to Chinese-made Cendol taste-wise.  Sweeter maybe.

Enjoying dessert under the sunlight. Ummi looks bored almost everywhere please get use to it. =D

A Peranakan magazine. Oh-Pochok-Mak hahahah so cute.

Ok buhbyee gorgeous Baba Nyonya couple! =)

And oh there is a Buddhist Temple opposite of Pinang Peranakan Mansion for landmark.

Thanks for reading! =)

XOXO,
Sue
