Day 4 - Jom Makan! Tasty Pastry @ Tous Le Jours, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (Saturday, 2nd January 2010)

Salam,

After breakfast, thee hee seemed like it was still not enough we decided to have something sweet for dessert. We walked a little from the beef noodles stall and saw a chic bakery (yes yes I tried this one too in 2008) using a French name, Tous Le Jours which means Everyday. The irony is the bakery is not French-owned but Korean. =D

We were welcomed by the friendly but obviously busy staff. Each of them was busy with their task and moving from one station to another. Yes even in the store, regardless of its French name they play Korean pop songs on the speakers.

Lots and lots of freshly baked bread.




Ok I was silently snapping photos because I know I was not allowed to but the temptation was too strong. I just love the very stylish designs cakes, and should be yummy too but we did not try any.

I love cakes with lots of fruits.

We bought some bread made with fruit ingredients of course, and we chomped the delicious pastry under a fake orange tree.

Next to the dining area, we could see the bakers busy making the sale of the day.

I was looking at the bakers here..

..when this one looked up at me and smiled at me, and continued looking at me and smiling at me while I was eating. Ok that made me blush coz he was cute really. =)

Upstairs, there was more sitting area indoor and outdoor. We saw these lovely quotations expressing the beautiful Parisian spirit.

Day 3 - Jom Shopping! @ Diamond Shopping Mall & Saigon Square, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - (Friday, 1st January 2010)

Actually before we went for lunch at Four Seasons Restaurant, we went to a shopping complex just quite across the road of Ho Chi Minh Museum named Saigon Square. It is also located quite near to our hotel.

Saigon Square had just gone through renovation so the complex looked better than before. This complex does not have posh brand-names but mostly they have stalls attached next to each other selling lots of clothes, bags, accessories and many more. Great thing about this place is of course you can bargain. =) However yes, the Vietnamese are tough cookies when it comes to bargaining.

Children's clothes.

Ummi just loved the adorable gowns for little girls at this Kelly Grace stall.

The teen clothes here are really cool especially the jackets and Baby-Ts. Unfortunately most of them cater for very very very slim girls, so if you have a petite figure you'll be very lucky.

Yes at Saigon Square there's this spacious Chinese and Japanese cuisine restaurant, but not Halal I bet.

Yup now after we had lunch we dropped by at a much bigger mall compared to Saigon Square. Diamond Mall belongs to a Korean company. Here you may find more brand names because it is more or less like Parson because it is a mall combined with its own Departmental Store.

I was most attracted to the teen's wear department because the selection of bags and sneakers available, well the designs are much much more interesting compared the ones in KL. Even the Converse selection have so many more tempting choices.

Below are the new arrival sneakers of Ecko Park but in Vietnam I saw that the name was Rhino Red but with the exact, same logo.

Gaudy skulls with flowers made it look oh so tempting rather than scary. =)

As usual, I must must must check out the children's stationery area to admire the cute, adorable stationery.

Little Twin Stars file.

Hard cover notebooks/ organizers with familiar cartoon characters from Japan and Korea. I love them all to add into my fancy notebook collection but I could only choose two of them. It was VND 112,000 (RM 21.20) each.

I bought these two! =) Little Twin Stars and Kerokerokeroppi! *LUVVVV*
