9 PELAJAR IPT BELAJAR MENYOLEK;
MAYBELLINE ANJUR PERTANDINGAN TATA RIAS MENDIDIK GOLONGAN MUDA TAMPIL MENARIK.

Lumrah setiap wanita ingin kelihatan cantik menawan dan ramai cuba merealisasikan impian masing-masing menerusi teknik solekan bagi menyerikan lagi keanggunan wajah. Bagi golongan bekerjaya dan menjadi tumpuan ramai, solekan amat penting bagi menjaga penampilan dan reputasi agar disenangi namun bagi generasi muda terutama pelajar institusi pengajian tinggi (IPT), mereka juga tidak kurang hebat apabila bersolek.
Jika mendalami dunia persolekan, pelbagai gaya dapat diperagakan namun bagi sesetengah orang, mereka bersolek sekadar untuk mengelakkan diri dari kelihatan tidak berseri. Dengan tema ‘The Beauty In Me’, jenama kosmetik terkenal, Maybelline menganjurkan pertandingan tata rias, bertujuan mendidik golongan muda tampil lebih menarik menerusi teknik persolekan yang betul.
Ia menampilkan sembilan wanita muda daripada pelbagai IPT yang dipilih untuk mendalami seni solekan menggunakan produk Maybelline. Sembilan peserta bertuah itu ialah Amelia Siah, 21, Faizah Mohd. Aris, 18, Suraya Anuar, 20, Karyn Khoo, 20, Nurulhuda Mohamad Jaapar, 23, Wan Aida Adlina Wan Jasmeen, 20, Lim Ee Ling, 20, Tengku Nor Diyana, 19, dan Navviitha, 19.
Mereka perlu menjalani latihan solekan secara intensif selama enam bulan di bawah kendalian jurusolek rasmi pertama Maybelline Malaysia, Choy Chi Ching.
Pelajar jurusan perubatan dari Universiti Perubatan Antarabangsa (IMU), Amelia dinobat juara dan membawa pulang barangan Maybelline bernilai RM500 serta berpeluang bertemu dan mempelajari teknik solekan terkini daripada jurusolek antarabangsa Maybelline, Troy Suratt di New York, Amerika Syarikat.
Majlis berkenaan juga menyaksikan kejutan apabila satu-satunya peserta bertudung, Suraya, dipilih pemenang kedua, menerima barangan Maybelline bernilai RM300 manakala Navviitha memenangi tempat ketiga dan membawa pulang produk bernilai RM200.
Suraya berkata, dia tidak menyangka terpilih di tempat kedua dan tergamam apabila namanya diumumkan. Pelajar tahun dua jurusan undang-undang Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia itu menghasilkan solekan menarik dengan tema ‘Broadway Ballerina’.
Gadis bercita-cita menjadi pengacara televisyen itu boleh berbangga dengan kemenangannya kerana di sebalik kesibukan sebagai pelajar, dia nyata bijak mencuri masa menyertai pertandingan berkenaan.
“Saya amat menyukai solekan dan suka melihat diri dan orang sekeliling kelihatan cantik bergaya dengan solekan yang ditonjolkan.” katanya.
Hadir sama, Pengurus Pemasaran Maybelline New York, Roberto Cumaraswamy serta barisan juri terdiri daripada jurusolek rasmi Maybelline Malaysia serta beberapa editor majalah termasuk Che Li, Editor majalah Remaja serta artis dan duta Maybelline, Fasha Sandha.

9 UNIVERSITY STUDENTS LEARN TO DO MAKE-UP;
MAYBELLINE CONDUCTS MAKE-UP COMPETITION TO EDUCATE THE YOUTH TO LOOK GOOD.

It is the nature of women to desire of looking stunning and many endeavour for their dreams to come true using make-up techniques to beautify their faces. For career women and who usually become the centre of many people, make-up is very crucial in order to take care of their looks and reputation so that many would feel comfortable to be around them however the younger generation especially students of higher learning institutions, they are just as good in doing their make-up.
If we explore the make-up world, numerous of styles may be presented however for some people, they just put on make-up to avoid themselves from looking pale and pasty. With the theme of ‘The Beauty In Me’, renowned cosmetic brand, Maybelline conducted a grooming competition, for the purpose to educate young women to appear more attractive through the proper make-up techniques.
9 young women from various higher learning institutions were selected to explore the art of make-up using Maybelline products. The 9 lucky participants were Amelia Siah, 21, Faizah Mohd. Aris, 18, Suraya Anuar, 20, Karyn Khoo, 20, Nurulhuda Mohamad Jaapar, 23, Wan Aida Adlina Wan Jasmeen, 20, Lim Ee Ling, 20, Tengku Nor Diyana, 19, and Navviitha, 1
They had to undergo an intensive make-up course for 6 months under the supervision of Maybelline Malaysia’s first official make-up artiste, Choy Chi Ching.
Medical student from International Medical University (IMU), Amelia was announced as the champion and bagged Maybelline products worth RM500 besides having the chance to meet and learn the latest make-up techniques from Maybelline’s international make-up artiste, Troy Suratt in New York, USA.
The event also witnessed a surprise when the only contestant wearing hijab, Suraya, was chosen as 1st runner-up winner, and bagged Maybelline products worth RM300 while Navviitha was chosen as 2nd runner-up winner and brought home products worth RM200.
Suraya said, she did not expect to be chosen as the 1st runner-up winner and was shocked when her name was announced. The second year law student from International Islamic University Malaysia created an interesting make-up style which was themed ‘Broadway Ballerina’.
This girl who has the ambition to be a TV host may be proud of her winning since despite of her busy schedule as a student, she was truly smart to juggle her time in order to participate in the competition.
“ I really like make-up and like to see myself and the people around me beautiful and stylish with make-up.” she remarked.
Also present, Maybelline New York’s Branding Manager, Roberto Cumaraswamy, with the line of judges consisted of Maybelline’s official make-up artiste, a few magazine editors including Che Li from Remaja and artiste cum Maybelline’s ambassador, Fasha Sandha.
