This was for an engagement ceremony of a client in Taman Sungai Kantan, Kajang. She booked me a few days before her engagement ceremony with a IIUM graduate. It was a truly beautiful ceremony, where the decorations were made by her uncle who is a wedding planner. Many relatives and friends came to witness the joyous event for both her and her fiancé.

The men from both sides are discussing about the engagement plan.
The backdrop and seat for my client, where her future mother-in-law puts on the engagement ring for her. The backdrop is gorgeous using cloth flowers which look real, kudos to her wedding planner uncle.
By the way since I love her uncle's work so much, my client told me that her uncle is Razak Ahmad of Floral Etc. in AmpWalk. Oh my God, I've been a fan of his since so long, ever since I watched about him on Nona. He is one Malay that I am so proud with his achievements. He used to work in Hollywood and had done flower arrangements for numerous events and his clients were Hollywood celebrities as well such as Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Cameron Diaz etc. As for local celebrities and socialites, he had done flower arrangements for the weddings of Datin Norjuma Habib Mohamed & for the daughter of Naza Motor's late CEO, Tan Sri Nasimudin.
So yes, of course everybody love to have fresh flowers for their events especially weddings, but it's only a matter whether you have the right amount of kaching kaching! :p His flower arrangements for events start from RM 3000 onwards.

Engagement gifts from both sides.
The tepak sireh or betel leaves set; very synonim with the Malay culture especially for marriage matters. If the engagement is cancelled, the man's side will return the tepak sireh as a sign of breaking off with the woman.
The man's side came with the golden trays while the female side prepared the baby blue and violet trays.

Telekung (Female praying attire) and tasbih (rosary). I think it is a fresh idea to put the gifts in some sort of 'treasure' chest. Nice.
The Sugar Cookies for the guests as a thank you note. I think they are really adorable and fun looking :)

Hmm..leceh ke..ntahla tapi ye gak kadang2 sue rasa majlis pertunangan la ni dah macam majlis nikah dah. Cam yang ni cantik betul. Tapi tu semua terpulang pada kemampuan n keinginan masing-masing la kan.

semua terpulang kepada kemahuan dan keinginan pengantin perempuan dan ibu-ibu mertua.

Haha itu ada betulnya jugak.. tapi tu depends kat pasangan masing2 la kan.. kalau dia tau yang lelaki kureng mampu takleh la nak demand besar-besaran. Tapi selalunya kalau bab pertunangan semua kos pihak perempuan yang keluarkan.. sebab tu kalau dalam Syariah, kalau lelaki batalkan pertunangan perempuan boleh saman malu and tuntut kos kerugian. ha jangan tak tau.
Apa-apa pun semua kena ukur baju ikut badan sendiri, kena ingat, all these ceremonies cuma permulaan untuk hidup baru, jadi banyak lagi benda penting nak pakai duit pastu, bukan permulaan untuk declare jadi bankrupt aiyoh!
