Salam,
Yes before Ummi and I went to Jalan Klang Lama for the trial make-up, we had our lunch at Signatures, one of the food courts in KLCC. (previously known as Scott’s Picnic, by the way I really wish that food courts in KL shopping malls, well not only food courts but even new shopping malls, condominiums and new residential areas should have Malay names to show some Malaysian identity instead of English names. Are we still being colonized? Silently I guess. I wonder if DBKL is really doing their job or not these days.)
Ok back to Jom Makan! I ordered my lunch from my favourite Japanese kiosk, Yoshinoya. Yoshinoya differs with other affordable Japanese restaurants like Teppanyaki or Sushi King because its main focus is by serving steamed rice accompanied with traditional Japanese dishes such as Teriyaki Chicken, Tempura & yes my most favourite combination which I always order is the Beef with Rice (in fact I always order the same combo meal since Day 1 I knew Yoshinoya).
Its promotion in April, by the way, Tamago means Egg (remember Tamagochi? :p) . That is one of the words I know from my very poor Japanese vocabulary.
Regular Beef Bowl RM 8.90
Large Beef Bowl RM 9.90
Combined with Miso Soup or Soft Drink.
Usually I would add RM 1 to have Ice Lemon Tea instead of soft drink.
I love how the juices from the marinated beef strips blended with the rice. The onion strips also add a richer taste. Actually it tastes more or less like Sup Tulang but just not as rich as Sup Tulang because these are beef strips, so it's not really full of fat chunks.
Ummi and Nana ordered some seafood spaghetti from the Italian food stall. I am not sure what they ordered but these sure look nice.
By the way I know that I would like to focus on Yoshinoya in this entry but previously when I dined in Signatures I went to London Fish Tales and ordered the fish and chips.
RM 9.90 (Prices are based on the type of fish you order)
The fried fish fillet is well cooked with juicy insides and the outer part is crispy. Squeeze the lemon and the taste will be perfecto! The chips are abundant so you would feel satisfied for its amount. Tartar and chilli sauce are provided as the dips.
