Jom Makan! Italian food @ Pastamania!, Pavillion, Bukit Bintang (Thursday, 1st May 2008)

Salam,

Yes like I have previously told, we were waiting till 2 pm to enjoy the special offer offered by a restaurant in Pavillion. It was the Italian restaurant, Pastamania. I was attracted to dine there when I first came to Pavillion, so this time with their food before so with the 30% off for every meal offer for students, it was perfect for us to dine there for lunch. By the way Pastamania! is located next to J.Co Donuts and facing Beard Papa's.

The reluctant cashier

Ha this was the cashier for the day. Grr he was hesitant to give us 30% off when we claimed for the offer. Don't play-play with us! :p It was our right to enjoy the offer and we were there at the right time, so yes he gave us 30% off. So there was a huge discount! Thank you! Oh yeah, the mode of payment is that you pay once you have ordered.

Ok now let's move on to the dishes we had for that day. Ok I lost the price list, so sorry guys no prices this time.

Seafood Spaghetti ordered by Ummi

I think it was really tasty, the sauce was delicious. Good thing was the seafood came in a huge portion so it was not merely pasta with some seafood.

Carbonara Spaghetti

Ok I'm a fan of Carbonara Spaghetti especially when I desire for its cheesy creamy sauce. As for Pastamania's, the sauce.. ok frankly speaking it tasted more like santan! (coconut milk). Seriously I thought I was daydreaming, but I asked Ina to taste some and she also agreed that it did taste like coconut milk. Ces! So it was really disappointing for me, so my meal was not enjoyable. The Carbonara Spaghetti at Hillside Corner was MUCH better, only that the texture of the sauce at Hills is always a bit TOO CREAMY (delicious for the first few swallows) but after that you would really full you have to have it for take away. But at least that's good, so you can enjoy more Carbonara at home :p

Ina really enjoyed this one! Yes I agree with her. The tomato puree tasted real good, while the huge chunks of beef were abundant. However the Beef lasagna from Delifrance still ranks #1 to me :p

I treated for this one hehe.. Chicken & Pineapple Pizza

This is my favourite selection for pizzas besides Pepperoni. The one from Pastamania! was awesome! It tasted sooo goodd :)

They provided each table with a feedback card which was good. So of course I gave them good comments about the pizza and service but not forgetting I also criticized about their santan carbonara hehe.. hopefully they will improve on that! :p
