Assalamualaikum,
As for our first dinner in Penang, Abang Sham wanted to dine Penang's most iconic local dish (apart from so many other delicious delicacies), the Nasi Kandar. His favourite place to have it is Subaidah's branch at Butterworth but since we were already on the island, thus we went to its branch at Sungai Dua although Abang Sham claimed that the cooking is not as good. Apparently Subaidah has many branches both in the North (Penang & Kedah) and the South (Melaka). In Penang they have 3 branches in Butterworth, 1 in Sungai Dua, 1 in Tanjung Tokong and another at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Whereas in Kedah they have one branch in Taman Permatang Gedong, Sungai Petani and 2 in Melaka specifically at MITC, Ayer Keroh & Jalan Hang Tuah, Bandar Melaka.
Its address in Sungai Dua is :
2/4, Jalan Pekaka Satu,
Sungai Dua, Pulau Pinang.
Hmmm, I always wonder, these 24 hours restaurants, when do they actually clean the kitchen and the whole restaurant really? Hmmm...
Only Mamak restaurant workers can don bright pink as their uniform. =D |
Jam-packed dining while watching some football match, a typical scene at any Mamak restaurant in Malaysia. |
Family. |
Oh yes to cut things short just let's hit the food counter! =) |
