Salam,
Yeah yeah we were finally at our hotel, 3 stars Sophia Hotel located about 5 mins driving distance from the city centre. Oh yes previously I mentioned to you that online and even on the business card, the hotel looks like its standing on its own? Hahaha no not really, in actual life, it is combined with next door premises just like other Vietnamese buildings. Tall, slim and connected to each other.
When we entered the lobby, geez we were informed that due to our delay, our room was taken! Of course we were already quite tired and that made Nana fumed..
However after making a few calls to www.asiarooms.com where we booked our hotel they managed to solved the problem and the hotel staff (all speaks considerably fluent English, especially this one guy Huy speaks with strong American accent with a Vietnamese twist, heh! :D) happily informed us that they were "..very very terribly sorry with the mixed up.." so they upgraded our room for the first night to the Presidential Suite where it has a Jacuzzi in it FREE OF CHARGE! Woot woot! Rezeki! =D
Alright so here was our room, quite posh-looking in an old-fashioned way of course, but we were pleased that the hotel room and bathroom were very clean indeed.
Our bedroom with TV (surprisingly there are hotels without TV) , cupboard and dressing table.
A small seating area to sip your coffee and air-conditioner. I mean the AC is up there, you don't sip your AC of course :p
The view from our room. Actually there is a French restaurant, somewhat a restaurant in a garden but it's closed already at this time of night.

1 Queen Size bedroom with 1 extra bed, requested in advance in our booking at Asia Rooms.
Ummi loves the old design bed.
Cleaned and Desinfected! Could not be any cleaner than that :p
Yes....this was the Jacuzzi with powerful blasts of water I bet.
Nana cam-whoring in the waterless jacuzzi.
Aite, so the hotel room was fine. The next day we were moved to our expected room (without Jacuzzi) so yes actually we did not even take the opportunity to try the jacuzzi *LOL*
About Sophia Hotel, the owner was really friendly and took great concern about our previous problem. Apparently her daughter-in-law is Malaysian or some other family member. The staff were great! Super friendly..seriously SUPER friendly Nana said the chubby bellboy and Huy had a crush on me but I felt naahh they were just being hospitable. I also liked the fact that the bellboys really took great concern when it comes to the fact that we ride only with safe, reliable cabs specifically Vinasun.

Yes oh, we stayed 3 nights there and including complimentary breakfast and with the first night upgrade being FOC, Ummi paid for our stay at about RM 600.00 plus only. Book at www.asiarooms.com and you only pay when you depart from your hotel, no prior payment to be made, but of course there were terms and conditions.
So people, Sophia Hotel is affordable, clean and has excellent service. =)
