Salam,
Alright this would be a combination of the stores we visited on the 2nd & 3rd day in HCMC especially the stores nearby Sheraton Hotel. So this post is quite random and I will share the story according to the photos.
Below here are the photos from Fahasa, the main bookstore in HCMC.
Nana was really excited when there are many French books available at this bookstore which is good for her since she learns French at Alliance Francais. A French woman smiled at her knowing that she can read French. Good for Nana then. =)
Me on the other hand was fascinated by the, aiyoh I cannot recall what people calls this, but its the foldable paper art in a book that will prop up whenever you open the book.

My jaw dropped looking at this shelf! Colourful and unique designs hardcover notebooks. It was really tempting to buy them all but some of them were quite expensive at around RM 60.00 - RM 100.00 each.

Text written in French.

Skulls.

Some sand artwork.

Ok coming back to more adorable, girlish notebooks.

I bought these two! Made in Japan =)

Chic and elegant.
Now let's walk some more...
Kashmiri products store.
At a boutique, haha Nana was making a face holding my lovely notebooks. She always claimed that I am one of the factors for globalwarming since trees are profusely being chopped down to make my notebooks. Oh well! =)
A boutique selling Vietnamese local gift products.
This is their City Theatre, somewhat like Istana Budaya.
Now we are at a leather goods store. They really have very stylish handbags, shoes and belts made from very good quality leather.
Love this bag. The price was around USD 300.00.
I still don't know what building this was but I like it.
A hotel with a familiar name but I can't recall. =p
Yes Nana trying out her Tin Tin in Vietnam T-shirt.
Oh yes, after the room that we booked was available we moved to our new room. It was still very spacious with one Queen size bed and one Single size bed.
The bathroom. No jacuzzi but still has a bathtub and pretty nice.
Now let's check out more stores. Again these ones are located nearby Sheraton Hotel.
NGA Art & Craft Store.
Another store selling Vietnamese-made fancy handbags.
Feminine dresses offered at many boutiques.
Nana in front of a very chic art gallery.
Nana in front of a Miss Saigon painting.
You may also see street vendors outside the boutiques. Like this lady here we approached her to buy T-Shirts for souvenirs at VND 10,000 each. She was really nice when she noticed that Ummi can't bend her knees to choose the T-Shirts she abruptly find a stool for Ummi to sit. =)
We entered a 3-Star hotel named Bon Sen. It's newer and nicer looking compared to Sophia Hotel but the rate is slightly cheaper than Sophia. Further more it is located very nearby to Sheraton Hotel and Halal @ Saigon restaurant.
The room rates above in USD.
Bon Sen Hotel.
An art gallery inside the hotel.
Miss Hanoi painting.
A building with beautiful classical French architecture.
